journal IV

Posted on June 8th, 2007 in Final by milos

In this final journal that I’m writing now I’m going to share everything that happened in the past 2 months, or basically this whole year. A lot happened this year and it was all a huge blow for me because this was my first year here at M’KIS and my first contact with the ESLR’s, Six Traits writing rubric and the whole concept of journal writing. I’m not sure if this is really a journal just about English and my accomplishments this, I think this whole year was just a small entry in my life’s journal and by writing this I’m just giving a brief overview. I decided to write this entry about my growth in the ESLR’s because, like I said, this is my first year here and I believe I made a lot of improvement

I believe this year I have become a more critical thinker because I identified, evaluated and used recourses effectively for the purpose of problem solving by doing many things, like knowing that I couldn’t rhyme specific words for a poem so I looked it up on the internet or looking up information about Anne Frank. I not only did this for English but also for other subjects like math, Social studies etc. as well.
I could just list all the ELSR’s like just now and everything I did to cover them but Mr. Raisdana told us not to because he’s a bit tired of reading all those boring 1000 word journals that say I build meaning and understanding, I applied problem solving skills and much more of that. Now by saying all that you probably thought I meant that I found a different more fun way to do it. Guess what? Journals and ESLR’s are boring so no matter how much more interesting I’ll try to make this it will still be boring so I’ll try to write as much about the interesting things as possible. Solving problems using a variety of strategies, this could be about how I asked Mr. Raisdana to show me how to write a poem and if that didn’t work ask a classmate. This ESLR’s could be as easy as trying to get a piece of paper or a pencil from some one because we had to write, like I did. Or gather and analyze information from a variety of sources doesn’t mean that you have to go on all this fancy sites and through all these fancy books to collect information and present it properly, this could also be as simple as asking a friend what the homework for the next day was, or looking in your planner.

Academic Achiever, I think people fear this ESLR the most because it is seen as very serious ESLR and the word academic is in it. I think you shouldn’t. Academic doesn’t necessarily mean getting straight A’s your whole life. I think Academic achiever basically means learning, not just in school but also out of it, and if you want it or not, the ESLR’s are always part of your life no matter where it takes you. I didn’t get all straight A’s for my subjects and that includes English. I did show a lot a lot of progress in curricular areas not by studying hard and making homework (I’m not saying you shouldn’t do that) but by opening myself to education, allowing myself to be taught, not just about subjects and teachers but also by students, by my parents and even my younger sister. My progress in English has certainly had its ups and downs and hopefully this journal will help me up it some more.

Involved citizen is an ESLR more out of class then in class, for being a good involved citizen everyone thinks you have to show care for the environment and smash and recycle your cans and your bottles, I do that, and it’s true I guess but it doesn’t have to be you could also just provide a helping hand for a friend or help your teacher out after school. There are so many ways to become an involved citizen but many people don’t know them and just keep stereotyping this ESLR with the cans and bottles and environment, personally I blame this on Ms. Seang and Ms. Taylor. Involved citizen also means that you’re able to be in social contact with different people, not just yourself. You have to get out and make new friends with people who can help you enrich your life with things you never knew, like peers from other religions.

Ah, and there’s Effective communicator, another one of those ESLR’s who’s being stereotyped. Everyone thinks that you have be able to give excellent speeches and that you have to able to talk to any one about anything. You could do that to prove yourself as an effective communicator but you don’t have to, some students can be effective communicators without saying a word, just by being able to transmit a message understandably makes you an effective communicator in my eyes.  I used my talents to create my poetry book, the looks and the way it’s constructed gives my readers and idea of what kind of a person I am and that makes me an effective communicator. Take this journal, when my readers (you) will be reading this they’ll also get an idea of who I am, just because of my writing.

Finally there’s Self-directed learner, when students look at this ESLR they’ll think it latterly means working without help, and it does, but in a way of being able to complete and assignment or project without asking questions. Asking question helps you become a more academic achiever because you identify your needs and recourses, which help you become a more self-directed learner. It also means doing things no one has done before or being able to identify your own goals, like I did. One of our assignment this year was to make a sheet with 3 goals for the coming year, and guess what? I completed all of them I believe, which is a major point in my view of Self-directed learner. As soon as I realized I completed them I started thinking about what I could do next, what higher goals to set next for myself.

My conclusion? I think all I want to add is that I’m glad I learned about the ESLR’s and that this has been a great year for me, emotionally and socially. I want to thank my teachers and my peers for helping me through this and I want to thank myself for opening up and improve so much this year.

Lenses

Posted on May 8th, 2007 in General by milos

I chose the game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas for my lenses project

San Andreas

Lenses

Race

The Afro Americans: This whole game is about the poor Afro Americans living in the Ghettos of the game and in the game you actually play an Afro American character so they might look at it as if it’s made about them because they’re the ones who are usually poor and committing all the crimes.

The Latino’s: The Latino’s in this game are projected as enemies who are nothing else and nothing more than the Afro Americans so they might think they’re being made fun of when looking at this game.

The rest: This includes Caucasian people, Middle Eastern people and Asian people; they all don’t play a (minor) part of this game so they might just look at it as a fun thing to in their free time.

Class

Upper class: The upper class might feel too good for this and see it as a waste of time; they might find it too violent or a bit too low for them and they might not be familiar with it because they never experienced something like this.

Middle/Lower class: They might look at this game as a fun recreational thing to do in their free time because this is what’s really happening out there.

Gender

Male: The male sex might find this game very amusing because it has a lot of context that males might find fun to do/see or they have experienced this once in their lives

Female: The female sex might find this game totally un-amusing because females aren’t violent most of the time and they usually don’t like to do these useless things. I think even some of the younger females might like it but most females (the elders in particularly) will find it a waste of time for sure.

My own lens

I think this game is pretty fun to play because a lot is going and you really get into it but now that I’ve seen this through so many different lenses I realized that there is more than just a game behind it.

Reflective Journal II

Journal II

This is the second journal I’m writing to show my understanding of the ESLR’s and to show how I used them throughout the last two quarters. The last quarter we read poetry which was a very interesting thing to do unlike I thought it would be. We also had a project together with our poetry unit but you will hear about that later.

To be a critical thinker I identified, evaluated and used recourses like internet pages, books and my peers to become more knowledgeable in the area of poetry because I when we started poetry I was just new to the concept so I needed some help. By doing this I became a more critical thinker. I gathered, analyzed and processed information for the teenlife project, in which we collaborated with three other schools from the U.S.A, Canada and Colombia. My group’s topic was global warming so I had to find a picture and write a poem about global warming, sadly, I wasn’t able to complete these on time so I can’t give myself credit for this part of the ESLR. We had some other things to complete for the teenlife project and I did my part. I feel that I could do better on this ESLR next time.

I solved a problem by using a variety of strategies. The problem was that I didn’t know how to make a proper poem, so I asked my peers for help and when that didn’t turned out to be a success I used Mr. Raisdana’s notes and I found a handy internet site that helped me with my rhymes. I felt comfortable later in the poetry unit.

To be an academic achiever I demonstrated progress in all curricular areas, like French, science and social studies. I think that my overall grade for quarter three English shows that I have tried my best in the poetry unit even though I thought it would be one of the worst English quarters. I also showed I’m capable of collaborating with others because I worked on the teenlife project with my peers and people who are still unknown to me. I think I progressed and improved a lot on my collaborative work this quarter, not just for English but for most of my subjects, especially Social Studies.

I demonstrated the ability to collaborate in the teenlife project even though I didn’t had my part in the end I still contributed to the group with some research. I also showed I’m perfectly capable of working independent and that is because as an ending to our poetry unit we had to construct our own poetry book and place the poems we wrote in it. Even though my grade wasn’t as high as I’d expected it to be, I still think I had a good grade and I’m proud of my poetry book. It’s something I will keep for a long time so I can look back at my experiences in English class.

I accessed information from a variety of sources for my poetry project because to complete the book it had to be filled with original poems that I wrote and the book itself had to be constructed from scratch and the information I needed for gathering materials etc. I got from paying attention in class and asking my peers.

The teenlife project in general is an excellent demonstration of use of technology for the completion of a project because without computers or internet the teenlife project wouldn’t be able to stand. It’s because we worked with people all over the globe and we needed internet to communicate with each other.

To be an involved citizen I demonstrated awareness for the rights of other because we had to do a lot collaboratively this quarter, and I would be unfair of me to tell others what to do and to be nagging at them to get all the work done for my grade, so I gave others the time and space to do their thing while I did mine, and together we got the project finished in a peaceful and smooth way, even though my part wasn’t completely finished I heard from Mr. Raisdana that our partners from the west are near to completion. I also demonstrated active decision making when I chose the materials, pages and words for my poetry book. That is because if I chose the wrong words the poems wouldn’t be as tremendous as they are now and the book wouldn’t look as fabulous as it looks now.

To be an effective communicator, I demonstrated my creative talents to convey ideas to use in my poetry book. I did a lot of thinking on how I should make my poetry book and finally I came up with some ideas like a bigger book then normal and unusual gold with black colors. I went to a stationary store and every thing I needed was there so I could start making my book.

I utilized technology as tool for communication for our teenlife project because we had to communicate not with the students from the other schools but also with each other to make agreements.

I listened respectfully not just to Mr. Raisdana but to every one who was able of educating me about the concept of poetry, because when we started the unit I wasn’t as capable of doing poetry as I am now. That is because I know learned to love and understand poetry and that makes it simpler then before.

I demonstrated the skill of effective collaborating by collaborating with peers to get the teenlife project finished, I had to collaborate with peers in school and with the students from the other schools to make sure we’re all on the same level.

To be a self-directed learner I identified my needs which were materials for my poetry book and what pictures I needed for my teenlife projects, now these were all material needs which I could easily get my hands on. Some other needs I had to learn, to achieve were skills to write a good poem and some other things including writing skills for this very essay. I got them by paying attention in class, doing research and asking questions when I’m in need of answers.

I took creative risks in developing new ideas and concepts, for example I had a whole bunch of poems to write for our final project, and I had no experience with poems, so I had to try a whole new style of poetry writing which I really liked. Sometimes when I feel like it I start free writing lines which I can maybe use to create new poems.

In my last journal, I never monitored, adjusted or documented work in progress even though I said I would. I still think it’s a waist of time and I don’t think I’ll ever get used to the idea of doing that.

Nikki Giovanna Yolanda Cornelia “Nikki” Giovanni was born in Knoxville, Tennessee, and raised in
Ohio. She entered graduate school at the
University of
Pennsylvania. In her first books, Black Feeling, Black Talk (1968) and Black Judgement (1969), she writes about her African American race. She won the NAACP Image Award for Literature in 1998 and the Langston Hughes award for Distinguished Contributions to Arts and Letters in 1996. She was named Woman of the year by some magazines and is now a professor of English and Gloria D. Smith Professor of Black Studies at Virginia Tech.
First of all I think her poems are amazing because they are so simple but yet you can see what she means by them. I think she must be a strong woman and a fighter because looking at all that she has accomplished in her life is not something anyone can do. I like her for her character that she puts in her poems and for her poems.

I know this is a bit brief but its not easy to write a conclusion about some one you barely know.

Here are the two poems I read:

Possum crossing

Backing out the driveway the car lights cast an eerie glowin the morning fog centeringon movement in the rain slick street

Hitting brakes I anticipate a squirrel or a cat or sometimes

a little raccoon

I once braked for a blind little mole who try though he did

could not escape the cat toying with his life

Mother-to-be possum occasionally lopes home . . . being

naturally . . . slow her condition makes her even more ginger

We need a sign POSSUM CROSSING to warn coffee-gurgling neighbors:

we share the streets with more than trucks and vans and

railroad crossings

All birds being the living kin of dinosaurs

think themselves invincible and pay no heed

to the rolling wheels while they dine

on an unlucky rabbit

I hit brakes for the flutter of the lights hoping it’s not a deer

or a skunk or a groundhog

coffee splashes over the cup which I quickly put away from me

and into the empty passenger seat

I look . . .

relieved and exasperated …

to discover I have just missed a big wet leaf

struggling . . . to lift itself into the wind

and live

And this one:

Quilts

(for Sally Sellers)

Like a fading piece of cloth

I am a failure

No longer do I cover tables filled with food and laughter

My seams are frayed my hems falling my strength no longer able

To hold the hot and cold

I wish for those first days

When just woven I could keep water

From seeping through

Repelled stains with the tightness of my weave

Dazzled the sunlight with my

Reflection

I grow old though pleased with my memories

The tasks I can no longer complete

Are balanced by the love of the tasks gone past

I offer no apology only

this plea:

When I am frayed and strained and drizzle at the end

Please someone cut a square and put me in a quilt

That I might keep some child warm

And some old person with no one else to talk to

Will hear my whispers

And cuddle

near

Current event, H5N1 in English Turkey Farm

Posted on February 8th, 2007 in Social Studies by milos

Last week the deadly variant of birdflue, H5N1, was found on a turkey farm in Holton in Suffolk, England. The first day 55 turkey chicks died and 16 had to be killed because they where to sick, the day after that at least 185 died also.

They set up a 3 KM protection zone, a 10 KM surveilance zone and a 2000 KM² restricted zone to keep the damage as low as possible.

In total 2600 turkeys died and an additional 159000 where slaughtered to prevent further outbreak

Anne Frank Movie Project

Posted on January 24th, 2007 in Anne Frank, Reflective Journals by milos

In our class we had to either create a movie of Anne’s voice or a monument in her honor. The paragraphs below are about images, symbols, sounds and how they are used in the presentation along with how they influence and appeal to viewers. The paragraphs also talk about ESLR’s used, our overall grade and what each member of our group had done. We made a movie, this is it.

The symbols we had used were a train, chimney, radio, diary, bare wire, bar code, Star of David, Gates to camps and
Iwoa Jim.

The train represents how all the Jews were taken away from there families by force and sent to a miserable camp where they were to die. Most of the Jews that were transported died before even reaching the camps which turned this symbol from just transportation to death to actual death.

The chimney was a sad symbol because it represents how the Nazi’s burned all the Jews. It was a way of eliminating Jews. Of course it was no the only means of extermination but to us it was the most brutal.

The radio was like our modern television or computer, it was in fact they only way of knowing about the outside world for Anne. Since she was stuck in the secret annex with no way to escape to the outside world she had to relay on this old but effective way of communication to learn about the war and the outside world.

Anne’s diary is a major symbol which represents the hope people have for their life, family and the world. It also shows that every one needs someone who they could express their feelings too. Even though she had all the essential things like food and water she didn’t have anyone who she could talk and who would listen to a teenager since everyone living there was a bit moody.

The bare wire was a sign of containment and a sign of no escape. Since the borders of concentration camps were either lined with walls, bare wire or fences. I thought that the barb wire was the most effective item to display to show restraint.

The bar codes were written on each prisoner for labeling, it represents how their identity and individually were taken away as soon as they arrived in the camps. The Star of David is a symbol that represents the Jews, but we had used this star with our own custom animation to help make the symbol represent the prisoners of Jews. Every one who was a Jew had to wear they particular star to distinguish their race.

Gates to the camps were the imaginary border line from life and death. Even on the outside world you will be dragged into the inside of the gates. Most likely the people who were dragged into the gates would probably never get out. The camps had given little food so the only way for them to not starve to death is to communicate or get through the grates.

The last symbol is the
Iwo Jima this symbol is a statue that represents the victory in World War Two. There are many statues of this which represents the amount of countries that were affected and the number of countries who tried to stop this horrible event.

The symbols will be influential on people because when ever they see the sign they will remember the power point which is much easier to memorize then a bunch of words. Symbols are also more appealing to viewers like images so it would grab their entire intention.

The images that we had used were basically about Anne Frank and the Holocaust. Anne Frank pictures were about her form a baby too about 17 years old because she didn’t live any longer. Some of the pictures were also of the secret Annex. The picture of the holocaust had included the before and after pictures of the war. I choose these pictures to make people viewing it more emotional. I thought that the starving children were a good picture for this. Images are influential because you get to see with your own eyes what the results of some actions are. It is also more appealing to people to see visuals because they are visual learners.

We had only used one sound because if we had added more the effects might have taken more of the excitement away from the visuals which to us is the most important. We had chosen this particular song because it had a smooth and easy flow of rhythm which makes it very effective for this type of power point. The smooth violent sound made it a lot sadder and more influential on all the viewers. Sound effects give written and visual presentations more appealing to people and influences them to take action.

Text didn’t play a major role in this power point presentation but if we hadn’t used it, it might not have been as effective, the reason being that text helps the viewers know what you are trying to say, what you are trying to build up, and also to let the viewers get ready for the next images.

I overall think that the three major aspect (symbols, images, sounds and text) when put all together can be very influential and appealing to viewers especially if it is a major problem happening right now.

The most important aspect of this essay is the main messages that it unleashes to the world which aren’t in word form. Symbols are the most important things to help people remember and stop awful event like this to ever happen again. To see which symbol is overall the best you have to know every ones role in the power point, the war and the book or Anne Frank. To our group the most powerful symbol is bar code because it talks about how the Jews weren’t treated like a human but more like a product, while I feel that the most powerful and meaningful image is the picture of the children that were starving and how you could se their misery and their ribs.

The biggest ESLR to me and my group is effective communicator because we are warning the outside world of the past disasters and though they can’t change history they can change their actions and the present.

We made a PowerPoint presentation but we made it look like an iMovie because that was the original assignment so we demonstrated our creative talents to convey ideas and we incorporated technology as a tool for communication because were trying to bring over a message about Anne Frank. We listened respectfully and asked questions to achieve insight, not just to the teacher but also to each other. When ever we had questions or comments we would always express them. We demonstrated the skill of effective collaboration by dividing up the work and by helping each other complete our parts of the project when ever they needed help. We had to collaborate with each other to achieve group goals because that was one of the major points of this project, to make us collaborate and work with each other. We had to understand the written, oral and visual information in our project to make the project sensible. We also demonstrated awareness for the role of the audience in the sense that we didn’t used to explicit images and texts from WWII so that if by any chance WWII victims would see this PowerPoint they won’t get hurt or offended also we had chosen some cruel and nasty pictures to show our class how to change the future actions we take.

Some other bullet points we did that weren’t an effective communicator is we build meaning and understanding by using prior knowledge and new information because we did it about Anne Frank and the WWII so we had to do some research and we had to learn about WWII and Anne Frank to successfully complete this project. We demonstrated the skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively by doing most of the work together at school and everything what we couldn’t finish we did at home. We also used a variety of sources like the internet and books to get our information from and we used technology to creatively and efficiently complete our project. We demonstrated responsibility in active decision making and awareness for the right of others and interacted respectfully with people of diverse cultures by looking at our content and audience during active decision making and interacting respectfully with ourselves (members in our team). We accepted responsibility for our own learning by taking on the tasks we (members of our team) had given us, took creative risks in developing untried ideas by doing a PowerPoint rather than an iMovie or a memorial and we demonstrated competency in goal setting, time management and organizational skills by setting our personal goals within the group, managing our time in and out of school and organizational skills by organizing this project.

In this project, we divided our job into three so that everyone has to do something. Firstly, Ramzi found images, made first draft of the power point, described the symbol of each pictures and reflected the ESLR’s in this project. He was the hardest worker in this group, and I think he worked as a leader to finish this project. Secondly,
Milos found the music, and made the power point look like a movie. He was technologically advanced and helped us so much. He was very supportive, as well. Then, I found images and wrote, “Who did what” part of this essay. I think I worked well, and was corporative. Overall, we did such a great job, and we always worked together very hard.

At the end of all our work we had not just created a power point that will just play one day and that’s the end but it will stay with the entire class for years to come. We had created a piece of the war that we will never forget or let ever happen again. My group and I had thought overall that the finish product was a great success. The entire group had felt that our final grade would be excellent, the reason being that we had thought hard and long for the perfect songs to be able to place in our power point. We would give our grade for the entire final project a B or a B+.

I thought in the beginning we would not be able to accomplish this task but in the end it was worked out nicely. The entire process of setting this entire project was quite simple because if you had planned and organized every ones tasks you can easily accomplish the project with commitment. In the beginning we had decide dot make a power point. Then we had found all the sounds and images we were going to use. After that we had made a story board and we had planned all the images, text and sounds we were going to use for each slide show. At last we created the power point. Once we had finished the power point we had split the responsibility of the written part of the essay. Through out the entire procedure we were organized which allowed us to do every thing fast and efficiently.

Teen Life

Posted on January 21st, 2007 in Teen Life by milos

Hi, I’m Milos and I’m 15 years old. I moved from Holland to Malaysia 6 months ago to live in an international community. Living here in an international community is, let’s say, different than what I’m used to. There are a lot of other people around here than in a public school. There are a lot of other people from other societies. Now I’m going to introduce myself some more. My hobbies are playing tennis (I’m not that good at it ha-ha) and swimming. I’m also in my school’s swimming team and I’m having a great time there. I also like chatting on msn and listening music. My favorite band has to be the Red Hot Chili Peppers. I think they make great music because they know how to mix different genres and their lyrics are outstanding. I can listen to them al day long and I can’t tell you my favorite song because there are so many, but I think ‘’under the bridge’’ and ‘’Otherside’’ is one their best. I also just started reading and I’m reading Scar Tissue now, It’s an autobiography from Anthony Kiedis and I’m really into it now. He is the lead singer and songwriter for the Chili Peppers and the book is about his drug addictions and about his personal life. I think the book is amazing and if your parents allow you I would recommend it if you like autobiography’s.

There are a lot of questions raised on the Wiki and I’m going to pick a couple which interest me because I can’t answer them all.
- What Language do they speak where you live?
- What are the temperatures like where you live: high, low, or in between?
- What do you use for transportation?
- Is the food and water supply in your place safe?
- What’s your favourite part about living where you are?

Here in Malaysia they have their own language and it’s called ‘’Bahasa Malay’’ which means spoken Malaysian or something, I’m not sure. They also speak Chinese and Indian because there are a lot of Chinese and Indian people who live here. They say that Malaysia is the best English speaking country in
Asia. The temperatures here are really high compared to where I used to live; it’s weird for that I celebrated Christmas and New Year with 30 degrees Celsius.
From October until January we have a monsoon here so that means that it rains more then usual because we live in a tropical climate. My parents drop me of and pick me up every day with our car. My parents have on each. You would say that the food they sell in food stalls on street isn’t safe but it is. You can eat it without getting sick, and they say that the water is safe too but I drink water from bottles… just to be on the safe side.My favorite part about living here is that the weather is good and that my parents drive me too school everyday. In
Holland I had to go on my bicycle through the snow with -5 degrees last winter.

This is a little about me, I hope you guys like it.

Summary for my news article

Posted on December 3rd, 2006 in Social Studies by milos

Here is my summary on my news article I wote a couple of days ago.

The whole world was shocked when this came out. No one could believe Michael Jackson sexually molested a child, and worse, no one saw it coming, even though he already was prosecuted before for molestation. It had a big impact on the world, half of the world hated him and half couldn’t believe he actually did it. It also was a pretty big conflict; it was him against the prosecutors who sued him. It was absolutely wrong what he did. He shouldn’t have done that.  The prosecutors and Michael himself had to doubt with a lot of emotions.

During the trial a lot of progress is made in discovering the truth.

Feel free to let me know what you think of it.

Who would ever think that so much can go on in the soul of a young girl?

Posted on November 30th, 2006 in Anne Frank by milos

For today’s writing I chose to write a post on one of Anne Frank’s quotes from her diary. The quote I’ll be writing on is the following: I don’t think my opinions are stupid and others do; so it is better to keep them to myself. (Page 102 in the diary)In this post I’m going to give my opinion on why or why not opinions are important and why or why not you should keep them for yourselves. I’m also going to write a letter to Anne explaining if I agree or disagree with her choice of keeping her opinion to herself.

Dear Anne,

I don’t mean to be rude but I really think you’re acting like a little kid. I absolutely don’t agree with your statement that your opinions are stupid because other’s say so. You said yourself that you don’t think your opinions are stupid but that you keep them for yourself because others think they are stupid. I think your opinion is as important as every one else’s.It doesn’t matter how old you are or where you’re from, it’s what you think that count and if other people are too eager and selfish to realize that you, at this age, have your whole opinion about the outer world and about other people they are the one who’s opinions are stupid. If I were you I would give my opinion on everything and let them know how I really think. Because that’s the only way you’re ever going to persuade them that they’re going to let you give your opinion without them saying it’s stupid.I think you’re a smart girl and you have a bright view against life it’s self. Sometimes a little less then always but we all have those days. Good luck.

Yours,
Milos

I think opinions are very important in socializing and making new friends because you can really get to know some one and you can find out some one’s needs by there opinions. It doesn’t have to be an opinion that’s about how much they care about the world and world peace or how they would like to feed the world. Or how dictators are bad and how people should stand up for there selves against the stronger one’s. The opinion can be as simple as your favourite football team, your favourite sport or your favourite artist.By sharing that opinion other people can build up an image of you from the inside, of what’s going on in your mind. By doing that you can decide who you like, with whom you share the same interests. Imagine a world without opinions? Ask yourself: how would I think of other people if no one gave his or her opinion. I refuse to keep my opinions for myself because I want other people to know how I think so they could judge me on who I really am.
